Why Claude Design made the cut
Claude Design is the part of Claude that finally takes my style guide seriously. The onboarding step ingests your brand assets, codebase, or existing design files and builds a design system Claude reuses on every project after that — same fonts, same palette, same component vocabulary. From a prompt or an uploaded DOCX/PPTX/XLSX it produces slide decks, one-pagers, prototypes, landing pages, and marketing assets. My early test slides came out better than anything I've shipped from Beautiful.ai or Gamma — and unlike those tools, I can hand-edit text inline, comment on a specific element, or use sliders to tweak spacing and color without re-prompting. Export to PPTX, send to Canva, or hand off to a designer. It's still in research preview on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise, and the obvious next step — calling Claude Design as a step inside agentic workflows in Claude Cowork — would close the loop on automating any deliverable that has a brand applied to it.

What is Claude Design good at?+
Slide decks, one-pagers, landing pages, mobile prototypes, wireframes, marketing assets, and reusable design systems. The slide quality in particular is competitive with — in my testing, better than — Beautiful.ai and Gamma, and it respects an actual brand system instead of nudging everything toward a template look.
How does Claude Design handle brand consistency?+
During setup it reads your codebase, design files, or uploaded brand assets and builds a design system. Every subsequent project automatically uses your colors, typography, and components. That is the killer feature compared to other AI design tools — you stop reapplying the brand on every output.
Who can use Claude Design?+
Currently in research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. It runs on Claude Opus 4.7 and is accessed at claude.ai/design.
Will it eventually be callable from Claude Cowork or other agents?+
That is the obvious roadmap. Today Claude Design is a standalone product. The clear next step is exposing it as a tool inside agentic workflows so an agent can produce on-brand decks, docs, and visuals as part of a larger pipeline. Plan for it in your workflow design even if it isn't there yet.
